How to select an excellent coach:

1. Look for experience. I've been coaching for around 20 years - not always with that job title, but coaching nevetheless; coaching learners to perform better, for example.

2. Look for validation and/or qualifications. This is a trickier one. There's no legal definition of a coach in the UK, nor do I believe that would be a good idea. So talk to your potential coach and find out how they view their role. With me - although I do have a Diploma in Life Coaching, I see real results when I coach from perspectives introduced by NLP. I'm one of the most highly qualified NLP coaches in the UK.  I'll ask you questions and make suggestions during a relaxed conversation. Directive coaching? With me, yes.

3. Think about your reasons for wanting a coach.
What do you want or need to change? Will the coach you're considering help you to get those changes, deeply, now?
